I woke up this morning with so much energy that I walk into the office like I just won a lottery. In the elevator, I see some of my colleagues all dressed in suit and tie and I take a look at myself. I am wearing a sleeveless short dress that is showing my curves and way above my thighs with a pair of kitten heels and a luxury bag to go with it.
I enter my office and see my line manager wearing sweatshirt and corporate pants. I look her in the eyes to give some approval that she nailed her look. I feel a gaze on me and trust me I caught the look. One of my colleague sitting two tables before mine is giving me a judging look like “What in the world are you wearing? This is an office!”
This bring me to asking “What exactly do we call business casual outfits in this new age?”
In the 80’s, people mostly wore formal pants and a top as business casual outfits while the guys wore a shirt with tie. In this new age, girls wear jeans, t-shirt and sneakers. But does that make it a business casual outfit? No!
Are mini skirts suitable? Can we wear hoodies and t-shirt when that attire is called for? Well, I’m going to be showing you some pictures of what can pass as business causal outfits below!
