The legendary boxer, Muhammad Ali will get an airport named after him, CNN reports. His hometown, Louisville, will be naming the Louisville International Airport after Ali. The airport will be known as the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.
This decision was made after a vote on a recommendation by a working group that’s been studying the renaming for over a year.
The Chairman of the Airport Authority Board, Jim Welch said;
This tells the world how proud we are to associate ‘The Greatest’ with not only our great city, but our great airport.
