A Woman’s Style Guide: What To Wear To A Job Interview

One of the hardest things in this life for me is selecting what to wear to a job interview. I try as much as possible appropriate and not over dressed for the interview. Everybody thinks that a suit is best for interviews but guess what? sometimes, you can go without them.

Before you attend an interview, you should pick out clothes that would fit the business type. I do not expect you to wear a sleeveless jumpsuit for a bank interview. You will appear unserious.

Below is a woman’s guide on what to wear to a job interview. So, Make sure you pay good attention!

1. What To Wear To An Internship Interview: I don’t know how it is done in your country but in my country, internships is the foundation of your career. It is so important that you defend your internship and you are graded on it. What you would wear for an internship interview depends on the organization you want to work for. If it is a bank, you have to dress corporate. I would prefer you wear something dark. If it is a start up organization, then you can try to be creative.

2. What To Wear To A Casual/Informal Interview: Because it is a casual/informal interview doesn’t mean you should dress down. You need to create a good impression by appearing classy and neat. The thing most people do not understand is that sometimes your appearance may earn you the position.

3. What To Wear To A Business Interview: When you are going for a business interview, you need to keep your look simple and smart! Do not follow the trend and be too fashionable. You need to appear serious/ready for the task ahead. I would also prefer you to wear dark colours. They help in making you look smart.
