Chit-Chat With Tife: A Journey To My Love Story

A Journey To My Love Story

People say that love is blind. Well, I never really believed that until I fell in love. Falling in love made me realize that people actually fail to notice the RED FLAGS their partner show.

Let me take you on a journey of my love story. It all started from the second I began to scan through my cousin’s gallery. Scrolling down, I saw so many pictures from her summer holiday until a particular a guy’s picture caught my attention. In that moment, I knew that I had found my life partner. I don’t know if you have ever felt this way before but I was so damn sure he was my “ordained husband!”

I told my cousin to hook me up with the guy but she refused. This was no problem since I am into social media(lol). It wasn’t hard to find him on both Instagram and Twitter, so I followed him.

Unlike every other person, I didn’t slide straight into his DM. I took tiny steps to making him notice me and in less than a week, I achieved what I wanted.

It took me about a month before I slid into his DM and we started chatting. The chat was so good that I had to move it to Whatsapp (let me just say that he earned my number!) Things were so rosy that I could see myself wearing that white dress and having the pretty children my ovaries created.

When I thought we had moved from being basic to being special, he disappeared! In my head I was wondering what happened and so I found out that he didn’t make it to Navy basic training school.

“Are you okay?” I asked him because I cared! He didn’t reply. I tried constantly for 3 days to make him talk or happy at least but I failed because he wasn’t ready to come out of whatever he was in. Looking at my phone, I knew I had tried so I left him. That was to give him the space he needed.
