Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia Fall RTW 2018 collection for Oscar De La Renta is precisely the reason why I am confident that the legacy of Oscar de La Renta will live on. The dynamic duo delivered a refined and sophisticated collection during the ongoing New York Fashion Week.
The Fall collection hinged was a symphonic collaboration between decoration – leaf motifs and embroideries – and color, bold hues and classic blacks, with both themes evident from the opening look.
From then on, we could see the leaf motifs across bodices and then elaborated in swirls across dresses, elongated shirt cuffs and sometimes serving as a decorated button on cashmere coats.
Recurrent textures were jacquard, tulle, organza, cashmere and silk and the classy blend of this features gave off an all together sophisticated approach to layering.
Take a look.
