Florence Otedola a.k.a Dj Cuppy was in the mood to walk down the memory lane by posting an old picture, her “younger” self which is no longer on the internet. Remember when she mentioned that she was relocating back to Nigeria and to make her moves in music. Now, her recent single with Teckno just dropped and is making air waves already!
One would think she just has love for only music or “DJing” but it has come to my notice that Cuppy loves African prints and doesn’t fail to wear them on notable occasions such as when she travelled to Ibiza, she wore an Akara wrap dress and a woven hat. When she is in the studio, she represents in a simple shift dress or her custom Iro & Buba which is becoming quite a signature look for her.
In the spirit of throw back Thursday, we are sharing ten moments Dj Cuppy looked fabulous in African prints!
Throw it back to last year when she hosted the Africa Now event at Bonhams as seen on her Instagram page.
#tbt to when she has her two-toned single braid hair and promoting her music, she came to Lagos briefly back then.
As the story goes, it’s quite evident she celebrated Christmas in Ankara prints. #tbtchristmas2016
As a jolly fellow that Cuppy is, she let us know she had a wardrobe malfunction in that dress #tbtheadies
How adorable is she in this print #madeinnigeria shift dress? Throwing it back to when she had a pop up sales for a charity organisation.
She promised to be in Nigeria? #tbt to when she made the final decision she was heading back finally to her home-Nigeria!
The Ankara fabric trending presently and driving fashion-forward women crazy! That time she was in Ibiza, Spain looking glam and gorg!
Touch down in Ghana yeah? She had to “DJ” for the presidential inauguration in Ghana!
DJ Cuppy with Mr. Eazi (her sister’s boyfriend btw) looking all cute in a pic as she congratulates him for his success in music. Issa big throwback isn’t it?
No studio session would have been complete without DJ Cuppy in her almost-a-signature Iro & Buba outfit. We love how she loves the African print, she is never shabby in her outfits and she loves to represent her country even on the International space! I think I’m enough to say DJ Cuppy has a thing for fashion and if she shoots her shot, she might as well be successful in her fashion career.
