Casio watches are back big time and only stylish, classy people can understand this! So far, the gold ones, silver and the rubber ones are the ones you most likely would find young people wearing which if you go online is not such a chicken fee.
The prices range from N6,500-N35,000 (according to type and shape) so, if you are like me who has got to study for her Masters abroad and has no such bucks to spare, your best option is going a-thrifting!
I’m not ashamed and that doesn’t make me poor either! If I save a few bucks for my studies now and make it, I would buy as much Casio retros in the future as I want (eez nor that serious biko).
So, I was hustling for a bus to my office in Lekki and got my Jessica Carlyle wristwatch which cost about ($20) add shipping price too o! I was so furious I had to go back to my silver Casio watch but then, I needed one more Casio to “shove it in the ass” of my haters.
I did victoriously!
So I went thrifting unknowingly at Obalende market where those mallams sold watches. I wasn’t really interested in buying (cos CDS and ish) but as the spirit of fashion would have it, I took 10 steps backwards, haggled for the Casio (which I saw a day before) and arrived at N2,500! I saved myself N4k- N31,000! This is worth thrifting and you probably don’t know a Casio watch battery lasts up to 10 years (my first child would meet them!)
