Oscar de la Renta had Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim make their debuts as co-creative directors on their first bridal collection. “We kept some Oscar-isms, like sashes and ferns and foliage as a strong base for embroideries, because he loved gardens so much,” Garcia said. “But we’re making it much lighter and more relaxed,” Kim added.
All the dresses looked like they were made of air, nothing looked stiff. The dresses were made from oral guipure lace, silk tulle with jasmine embroidery. Also, Osacr de la Renta used Chantilly lace with anemone appliqué and stretch silk georgette.
