“The Real African Queen” – Yvonne Jegede Traditional Edo Wedding To Her African King Kunle Fawole!

African Queen

The lovely and dimpled face Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede had her traditional Edo Wedding on Saturday 4th of February, 2017 to her king Kunle Fawole on his birthday. Kunle Fawole is the son of late broadcaster and Nollywood legendary actress Bukky Ajayi who passed away last year at the age of 82 after losing her battle to cancer.

African Queen

The true African Queen Yvonne Jegede who was famously known for starring in 2face’s widely popular song “African Queen” married her Yoruba groom and bestfriends of over 13 years Kunle Fawole. She wrote to him this below:

“Happy birthday babe ??? I’ve got a billion things to say to you? You have changed my life and showed me how a woman should be treated like a queen ? The last 13-14years of my life has been colorful and bright, and the past 5months has been a roller coaster of fun because I said “Yes” ? Baba, you are everything I have ever prayed for and the físí I thought I only see on TV. You make me proud and happy most especially. My chocolate pudding I can not wait to be ya Mrs”.

Betty Irabor

Betty Irabor CEO of Genevieve magazine also showed her support to this lovely Celebrity couple Yvonne Jegede and Kunle Fawole by writing:

“When you look at this picture what do you see? I will tell you what I see. I don’t see two celebs, I see two happy people who genuinely love themselves enough to love each other. You cannot give what you don’t have, remember? You cannot love others without self-love. I see a couple who are not living their lives to please others because they don’t need to prove anything, They know that they are not in any race or competition… They got engaged without any suffocating drama, their traditional wedding yesterday was at its realest. Most of the pressure people go through are self-inflicted in an attempt to make unnecessary statements.

Who are these people everyone is trying to impress anyway? The truth is, people, try too hard to be accepted, to meet other people’s expectations, to please others who really shouldn’t count…what really should count at the end of the day is the marriage, not the wedding….marriages begin where weddings end. I have come to know Yvonne and Kunle better and I believe what they share is deep, very deep.. And at the end of the day, that’s what counts… Congratulations my darlings. Please don’t make me eat my words! ( I know you won’t )”.
