Travel blogger Lara A’, who is a Kamdora contributor, shares her recent experience in Acrra, Ghana.
The fashion asides from the different artistic displays could easily be the # 1 reason to visit Ghana for the annual street art festival. The 2016 edition of the Chale Wote Street Art Festival brought out various eclectic styles from hair to outfits I’ve had the pleasure to come across in public. The annual street art festival was held as usual in the Jamestown suburb of Accra from the 15th to 21st August 2016.
According to the organisers, the CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival is an alternative platform that brings art, music, dance and performance out of the galleries and onto the streets of James Town, Accra. The festival features street painting, graffiti murals, photo exhibitions, interactive installations, a food and fashion marketplace, live street performances, street boxing, a fashion parade, a music block party, and much more.
