Season 2 not only ended with a fight between James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) and Kanan (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson) but also Kanan killing his son Shawn (Sinqua Walls), Tasha’s St Patrick’s (Naturi Naughton) love interest. This particular scene was unexpected, and it showed the authenticity of the show as well as its rawness, and this can be credited to executive producer 50 Cents’ insight into the street culture from being born and growing up in the Ghettos of Queens New York himself.
The first episode of Season 3 commenced with James St. Patrick and first love Angela (Lela Loren) the federal prosecutor walking in hand in hand into his nightclub. Not only has he left his wife Tasha but also the drug game. His focus is now on becoming a Business Mogul in the Nightclub industry.
Tasha and her family are grieving over the death of Shawn. She is keen to get to the bottom of this. Little did Ghost know that his childhood best friend Tommy (Joseph Sikora) is attempting to kill him with Lobos (Enrique Murciano) instructions, who has been playing dead. Holly ( Lucy Walters) and Tommy are back together. However, not without their ups and downs.
With broken homes, friendships, promises and hearts; how long will James stay legit and when will Kanan show up again? The final scene also came with a surprise phone call from James to Tommy. Is Ghost back?
