Prior to watching the movie “War Room” I had never heard of the concept war room until the moment I saw it. My friend convinced me to watch it that I will love it. I was a bit sceptical as I am not particularly religious.
War Room released 2015, is a movie directed by Alex Kendrick about the young Jordan family who appeared to have a perfect life. The husband Tony (T.C. Stallings) and wife Elizabeth (Priscilla C. Shirer) both had great jobs; their beautiful 8-year-old Daughter Danielle (Alena Pitts) is intelligent and they also lived in their dream Home. On the surface, they appeared to have a perfect family with no problems. We soon discovered it was all a façade. However, Elizabeth a realtor met her newest client an older wise woman called Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie), who used a room in her house as an avenue to fight with prayer for her family instead of against them. She provided guidance in helping Elizabeth develop a stronger spiritual life and transform her family especially her man to become a man God intended him to be and find real happiness together.
After watching this gripping movie, I am personally recommending it even secular movie watchers like myself. Not only was I inspired by it, I will also suggest every couple and even family to watch the movie together. The movie creators prime agenda was to show the power of prayer and the importance of having faith in God. It also educated me on the importance of family values, unity, communication within a family and “treating others as you want to be treated”.
On a last note, if you struggling to find words to appeal to God. You can write it down and paste it in your Prayer / War Room. Let God take control and watch him fight for you.
