Oaty Apple and Ginger Crumble

20160602_180850Oaty apple crumble is my all time go to comfort dessert. It ticks all the right boxes; warm, sweet and tangy.

For this recipe, you’ll need apples, a little zest of a yellow lemon with about a teaspoon of its juice and sugar to soften and caramelise the apples ever so lightly :). The oat crumble is the best part of this dessert and making it is even more heavenly. 

What you’ll need

  • 200g green apples,
  • 1 Teaspoon of Lemon Juice
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 100g butter
  • Ginger

Method:

1. Combine the 100g flour,  50g rolled oats, 100g butter and 50g brown sugar.

2. Mix all the ingredients and rub with your fingers to create a crumble texture.

3. Pour the mixture into a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes.

4. Allow to cool and enjoy!
