The White House Correspondents Dinner has become a surprisingly Hollywood-heavy affair over the last couple of years, with celebrities trooping to Washington D.C. for what is fondly called the “Nerd Prom”.
Organised by The White House Correspondents’ Association, the annual event brings together journalists, politicians, and celebrities. The WHCA dinner is traditionally attended by the President and the First Lady as well as other senior government officials and members of the press corps. Proceeds from the dinner go toward scholarships and awards aimed at supporting aspiring journalists and recognizing excellence in the profession.
Last night, President Barack Obama hosted his final WHCD and Hollywood’s style set descended on the capital with a lineup of all-star looks.
From Kendall Jenner to Adriana Lima the stars showcased some high-powered that was certainly a step up from the city’s standard professional business dress code.
