Hey there, Imma just breeze in and breeze out, all for you. I have been pondering on a few things lately, and I figured I could share my thoughts with you. You know how we are in a time where words like ‘accountability’ are termed archaic. Well, I don’t think so. Or what do you think? I think it’s okay to be accountable.
Be Accountable to (an Older Adult) Somebody
Every adolescent needs to hear this, not as a tradition, more out of genuine concern. I am truly concerned about the number of adults I see these days still acting like children, who don’t know that every resource is to be accounted for. I think they must have overlooked the accountability process as adolescents. Accountability is first learnt. From being accountable to a guardian, an adult, or somebody who genuinely cares, you can then learn how to be accountable to yourself.
Be Accountable for Something
For every passing second, for that little girl who walked by, For what you are doing right now, be accountable. Don’t just live life easy breezy. Like I always say, for some of us, it’s the first 18 years of our lives that has been the most rewarding, cos somebody (maybe parent) was accountable for it. Know that every action you take is a deposit in your savings. Don’t waste time, money, relationships, everything, anything. Live every second like it counts.
I hear our future is in our own hands, well I also think, today is in our own hands, make the most of it.
