This Green Smoothie Will Rock Your World!
Not so surprisingly, I had a smoothie phase. As long as it’s not harmful, I’m usually down to try new things. I quickly learnt that smoothies weren’t my thing because at the time, I had the metabolism of a baby tiger.
In the mornings, I was front-loaded with classes, so a bowl of oatmeal was more effective for keeping me full for extended periods.
Nonetheless, from time to time, I fantasize about one particular smoothie – the long-lasting green smoothie. Not only was it filling and healthy, it was absolutely delicious! Plus, it’s really easy to make. Let me share the recipe with you:
Ingredients
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 2 handfuls of kale
- one spoon of peanut butter
- one spoon of almond butter
- walnuts
- milk (almond, regular or lactose-free)
Vary the quantity as desired. Put all the ingredients (except the walnuts) in a blender and blend away! Pour into a freezer-friendly cup. Crush the walnuts over the smoothie. Leave in the freezer for a few minutes until cool.
