
Weekend Recipe: Tequila Soaked Watermelon
This recipe takes about 5 minutes to put together and about an hour to soak the melons. The lo nger it soakes for, longer the watermelon soaks, the more flavorful it becomes
This is a good way to chill this weekend with some friends. It is so easy to make and all the needed materials are readily available esp the watermelon. Watermelons are very nutritious and healthy (read more HERE).
So kamdolls spice up your weekend with this fruity delicious cocktail.
What you’ll need
- 1 small seedless watermelon
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup Triple Sec (spirit of choice)
- 2 limes, halved or cut into wedges
- Salt
To-Do
1. Cut watermelon into 1-inch-thick wedges and arrange spaciously in a single on a baking dish or tray.
2. Mix sugar, water, tequila, and Triple Sec and put to boil in a small saucepan.
3. Cook for about a min, stirring, until sugar dissolves.
4. Allow to cool slightly.
5. Pour syrup over watermelon wedges, and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
6. Remove watermelon from syrup, and arrange on a platter.
7. Squeeze limes over melon, and season with salt (optional).
8. Serve and enjoy with friends.
